Attend a Meeting
PTA meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month at 7pm, normally in the school library, but for now on Zoom. You don’t need to be a PTA member to attend – come see what the PTA is all about! Learn about the events the PTA puts on and how PTA dollars support our kids and our classrooms. Get the latest on our fundraising efforts and learn how you can help. Hear from the principal and other school leaders and share your feedback.
Join the PTA
By joining the PTA you support the school and the many programs and events put on by the PTA. You’ll also be eligible to vote at PTA meetings. Membership is $15 per year per parent, and you can sign up at our PTA store page page.
If you prefer to pay by check, membership envelopes are available in the office. Please fill out the form, include a check for $15 (made out to “Laurelhurst School PTA”) and put it in the PTA Mailbox. You may also become a member by paying your dues at any General Meeting.
The PTA budget is sustained by volunteer-run events and fundraisers headed by a committee chair or chairs. We are always looking for special skills and talents to help make these events bigger and better. Please consider helping on an event committee – there are opportunities for any level of involvement. Take a look at all the volunteer opportunities in the Directory portal, and learn more about the events and fundraisers the PTA supports.
Serve on the PTA Board!
The PTA Board is made up of Laurelhurst parents who volunteer their time. The PTA Board makes decisions about the budget and meets on a monthly basis to discuss PTA events, budget, and anything else needed. It’s a great way to have in-depth knowledge and input about the ways our funds support the school. If you’re interested in joining, contact Amanda Sorrell, PTA President.
